Sarria (0km): For many pilgrims Sarria is the kilometer 0 of the pilgrimage to Compostela where you can see a variety of races. After Rua Maior, past the building Remand Prison, we arrived at the viewpoint on Sarria. A few hundred meters past the viewpoint, the road meets the Convento de la Magdalena, run by the Mercedarios Padres. The stage down by the wall of the cemetery to the river Pequeño, tributary of Sarria.
Along with small meadows and orchards particular, we pass under a viaduct for crossing the tracks. After they, we saved a stream by a wooden walkway (2.2km).Then, we arrived to As Paredes (Cairn 109), where there is a pre-Roman fort with the same name (the village appears later).
As Paredes (2.9km): From here, by local track, we came to Vilei where a sculpture receive us in memory of Don Germán Arias. Immediately on the left, we see the rest area Km 108 Vilei, full of all kinds of vending machines and a stamp to decorate the credential.Vilei (Hostel Bar, 3.7km.) Again by asphalt, we progress to the parish of Barbadelo, an information panel places our attention to the Romanesque church of Santiago, several feet from the road that is surrounded by the cemetery, deserve your attention the covers and capitals.
Barbadelo (Hostels Bar, 4.5km.): On the right, we will leave the hostel for pilgrims of Barbadelo and we continue again by asphalted road to villages of Rente (5.3km) and Mercado da Serra, with tavern and located in the crossing of the LU-5709.
Mercado da Serra (Bar-Shop, 6km): After crossing, we don't continue by the road but we take a wooded corridor. After five minutes, we pass by a fountain decorated with Pelegrin, the mascot of Xacobeo 93 (6.6km). Seven hundred meters later we arrived at the gates Marzán Mill, built in 1920. In March 2014 the house-hostel of the same name (7.3km) opened. We turn ninety degrees to the right and cross the pasal winter, which prevents that we get the foot in the water basin. Soon we crossed the LU-633 to pass to Leiman, with inn beside the road.
Leiman (Bar, 8.2km): Then, Peruscallo appears with the presence of some granaries and where you can buy raspberries or beads (9.2km and Cairn 103). We say, for now, goodbye to the asphalt to advance through Corredoira to Cortiñas (10km and Cairn 102) and Lavandeira (Cairn 101.5).Between stone walls and chestnut, we REACH Brea (11.5km and Cairn 100.5) to reach first the false cairn and a few meters further to the real one, it is crowned with stones and bathed in graffiti. A few meters ahead it is Morgade.
Morgade (Hostel Bar, 12km.): At the exit, a sign welcomes us to Cocello de Paradela, who takes over from sarriano. Met Ferreiros, Paradela first parish.
Ferreiros (Hostels Bar, 13km.) We went down by asphalted road until Mirallos (13.6km and Cairn 98). On the left there is a restaurant that manages Natalia and it has 25 beds for pilgrims. The price is donation and it gives breakfast bar, menus, snacks, etc.
Mirallos (Hostels Bar, 13.6km.) Then there is the Romanesque church of Santa María. El Camino is directed by asphalt from Mirallos to A Pena.
A Pena (Hostel Bar.) Then, we go to Couto (14.7km) and Rozas (15km and Cairn 97). During this journey it is usual to find families leading the cattle from one place to another. Leaving the place, we arrive to cairn 96.5. It also means leave, at least for a stretch, the asphalted road to take a path with oaks and pines. At the first crossroad, we go to the left. The cairn 95.5 announced the proximity of Moimentos, village that we arrived, after leaving a wooden cross wrapped with barbed wire and crossing the LU-4203 road (16.4km). In a few minutes we reached Mercadoiro.
Mercadoiro (Hostel Bar, 16km.): The route then leads to Moutrás, where there is a store of food, beverage, pharmacy and crafts.
Moutrás (Shop Peter Pank, 17.1km): After steep and unpaved tracks we descend to Parocha (18.7km) and Vilachá, last village of the path that belongs to Paradela, where there is a hostel founded by South African Gordon Bell in the spring of 2014.
Vilachá (Hostel, 20km): A sharp decline brings us to the Minho river. The bridge, over 350 meters long, brings us to Portomarín that is characteristic for its white walls and gray roofs. The entrance to the village is by one of the arches of the old Roman bridge rebuilt to seat a stairway and put a small chapel. We climbed it and passing the Virtual Information Center Peregrino we headed to the village center.
